- Papers can become a pile of clutter in no time at all, be sure that after you are finished reading or writing a paper it goes right away into a file or drawer. If the paper is no longer of use or need then throw it away. One way to keep paper at bay is too keep a good size trash can right by your desk or under it, so it is always close by.
- When purchasing a desk make sure that it fits all of your needs, the right amount of drawers, the right file space and a place for all of your pens and pencils and office tools. Having pens and pencils all over your desk will collect quickly.
- As soon as you are finished with a book or reference manual that is sitting on your desk put it away or on your bookshelf right away.
- If you can make a closet in your office this will save you a lot of clutter headaches. You can buy a portable closet at your local office supply store, Ikea, or Home Depot Store. Make sure you get the right size for you office space.
